Let’s face it, eyeshadow can be intimidating. There are so many colors and brands, textures range from loose pigments to cream formulas and everything in-between. It's enough to spook even the most seasoned makeup pro! "How do I even blend all of these? What works best for my eye color?" And we haven't even talked what brushes work best for what formula! In short, it can be overwhelming. Trust me. I know.
1) CHOOSE YOUR EYE COLOR
There are 6 common eye color families out there that we will be focusing on and I chose 3 eye shadow colors that would complement each respective eye color. Now, this is in no way an “end all” color choice for your eye color. Think of these as suggestions! These are just a few of the tones that will make your eye color pop.
Use the chart below to find out what colors work best for your eyes!
2) HOW TO APPLY EYE SHADOW
Since I have blue eyes, I’ll be using that color as our example.
STEP 1: ALL OVER COLOR
Tap eye shadow all over the eyelid focusing on the inner corner. Note: Do not slide brush back & forth over eyelid or color will look too light & not adhere properly!
TIP: Try adding S.W.A.K. our natural eye primer & highlighter to your eyelids before applying eye shadow. This will ensure longer lasting color as well as intensify the eye shadow color.
STEP 2: OUTER CORNER COLOR
Use pointed brush & draw a sideways triangle with tip facing outward. Color should cover half the eyelid. Blend color into the triangle.
STEP 3: CREASE & LINER COLOR
Using your outer corner brush, blend the eye shadow into your crease focusing on the outer crease. Then with your liner brush, dry or wet with water, line your top & bottom eyelid. The tip of the brush should trail behind when applying.
3) MATCH YOUR EYE COLOR WITH THE RIGHT MOJO SPA EYE SHADOWS
Now that we know how to apply the eye shadow we need to make sure that we have colors that matches our eyes! In the charts below we put together recommendation of Mojo Spa Eye Shadows for each respective eye color.

4) COSMETIC HEALTH & EYE SHADOWS
While many packed eyeshadows are full of asbestos and alcohol, ours are much more natural. At Mojo Spa, we firmly believe that when you feel good, you look good, and that's why we've formulated our eyeshadows with mica, titanium dioxide, and magnesium stearate. Natural ingredients that are good for your skin!
Hopefully this tutorial helped you figure out what eye shadows work best for you!

How well does that technique work for older people with puffy hooded eye lids?
Hi Yolanda! For medium brown eyes use Aspen for all over, Virgo for the outer corner and Calypso for the crease & liner. Hope this helps!
